  • JOSEPH KALEMA: Business Development Support Consultant

    • Experience: Investment Manager and Business Developer, Investment Banker and Analyst
    • Employment Career: Joe has worked as a Financial Analyst at various financial and investment Funds, this includes Damascus Capital, an East African based private equity firm as an Associate and at the African Alliance, a leading African Investment Bank, as a fixed income analyst. Prior to African Alliance, Joe co-founded and worked with ICAN Holdings, a boutique investment fund focusing on special situations and opportunistic investments
    • Qualifications: Joseph holds a BA Business Computing Degree from Makerere University.
    • Goal: Investment Analysis to Business advisory Services

     

    Specialities: Deal sourcing, Equity research, Investment analysis, Fundraising, Product innovation and Business development.

     

  • ROY M.W GAKUO

     Partner-Enterprise Development and Technology Enabled Services Consultant

    • Experience: Roy has accumulated over 10years in Enterprise development support and technology enabled services.

     

    • Employment Career: He was previously the Mara Launchpad Incubation Center Manager, before becoming the Mara Foundation Country Representative where he has worked to nurture, support start-ups and SMEs in Uganda. He has also worked in with Unilynk an IT solutions company and served as project lead for various contracts during the period of service.
    • Qualifications: Roy holds a Bachelors in Computer Science, Post graduate Certificates in Project planning and Management, Project Monitoring and Evaluation from Makerere University College of Business and Management Sciences(COBAMS) and Certification in Inclusive Business Training, Certification in Economic Analysis of Investments from World Bank Institute, Sustainable Urban Land Use Planning from World bank Institute.

     

    • Goal: Enterprise Development, Funding Linkages, Digital Marketing and Technology enabled services

     

    • Specialties: Roy holds a rich profile of great analytical skills, critical thinking, evidence-based analysis, efficiency and thoroughness. He has demonstrated leadership, management and organizational skills with experience of managing teams in challenging environments. He has a high level of passion, entrepreneurial energy, personal initiative and responsibility. Enriched with a broad knowledge and understanding of social business and how this is related to other concepts of social innovation, social entrepreneurship, inclusive business and impact investing. Roy has a strong cultural understanding and skills to manage differences, he is great in diplomacy, negotiating skills and team-working skills with a willingness to travel outside of Kampala to rural areas.
  • DANIEL YIGA BUKENYA: Senior Consultant

    • Experience: Daniel is an accomplished investment consultant with 14 years of working experience in the field of Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Credit Underwriting and Fund Management. Developed strong Networking, Negotiation and Communication skills. Acquired cutting edge knowledge of problems and solutions to sustainable public and private sector growth and development in Uganda.

     

    • Employment Career: He was an Investment Fund Manager at GroFin, and Business Relationship Manager for Standard Chartered Bank, where he worked with various SMEs in Uganda.

     

    • Qualifications: Daniel holds a Master’s Degree in E-Business Management from International University of Japan, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kyambogo University and a Higher Diploma in Marketing from Makerere University. He is also a certified Credit Risk Manager.
    • Goal: “My aspiration is to be a versatile business leader, to deliver shareholder value with the unique blend of my skills and dynamic personality. I am keen on offering my services at the level of strategic leadership and management”.

      Specialties: General leadership / Management, Brand management, Marketing, Sales, Negotiation, and Relationship management. These skills have been bolstered with E-Business Management skills.

     

     

    HERBERT OCHIRI KISARA: Research and Concept development 

     

    • Experience: 3 years of Investment Analysis and more than 5 years of Data Management

     

    • Employment Career: Herbert previously with Mango Fund Inc. Kampala, Uganda Investment Analyst & Client Relationship Manager, a position he held since November 2013, Mango Fund is an Impact Investment Fund partnering with growth-minded entrepreneurs across Uganda who are looking for growth financing. Prior to this, he also worked as an Administration Officer at Innovations for Poverty Action-(IPA Kenya): Kisumu, Kenya from January 2011 and continues to associate with them to date.

     

    • Qualifications: BA: Social Sciences (Economics) Minor: Sociology from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi, Kenya. Currently Pursuing Masters in Quantative Economics at Makerere University.

     

    • Goal: Creating relevant partnerships and Deal sourcing for new and potential clients, conducting randomized controlled trials (RCTs), along with other types of quantitative research to measure the impacts of development programs in sectors including microfinance, education, health, governance, agriculture, charitable giving and community development

     

    • Specialities: Conducting due diligence on clients and coming up with investment documents, Client relations and doing post loan follow-ups, Managing Data collection, Data entry, Data cleaning and Data analysis using STATA, Program budgeting enabled by continuous feedback with the program heads.
  • MAXWEL OKODI: Accounts Specialist

    • Experience: Certified Public Accountant of Uganda (CPA-U) 2014

       

      Qualifications: 2012; worked as the only Accountant at Hill Crest Company an Insurance Brokerage Firm, 2013 – 2014; Systems Auditor at Tugya Associates an audit and fully licensed by Bank of Uganda to carry out Government audits, 2013-2015; Finance Officer at Community Aids Care an NGO in Mityana dealing with HIV Prevention, 2013 to date; Trainer in Computerized Accounting in Tally and QuickBooks Accounting Software at Web info-net limited, 2014 to date; Trainer in Computerized Accounting in Tally and QuickBooks Accounting Software at Maganjo Institute of Career Education, 2014 to date; Founder and Chief Accountant of Certified Accounts Consults Limited an Accounting Consultancy Firm.

      Goal: Maxwel is passionate about seeing fast growth in Uganda’s economy by working with dynamic and fast growing companies.  As part of his set objectives, he is determined to be part of the country’s growth by applying his professional accounting skills to seeing that the companies in the country move to the next level and as well employ a number of Ugandans
